Disassembly

EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: REAR BUMPER: DISASSEMBLY; 2013 MY Corolla [07/2012 -]

1. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SPOILER (w/ Rear Spoiler)

(a) Remove the 5 clips and 12 retainers, and rear No. 1 spoiler.





2. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SPOILER LH (w/ Rear Spoiler)

(a) Remove the screw and clip.





(b) Remove the 7 retainers and rear bumper spoiler LH.

3. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SPOILER RH (w/ Rear Spoiler)

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

4. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the screw and reflex reflector assembly LH.





5. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

6. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PAD

(a) Remove the rear bumper pads.





HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

7. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PAD LH

(a) Remove the rear bumper pad LH.





8. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PAD RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

9. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws and grommet.





(b) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the rear bumper side support LH.

10. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

11. REMOVE NO. 2 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 2 rear bumper side support LH.

12. REMOVE NO. 2 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

13. REMOVE REAR UPPER BUMPER RETAINER LH

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear upper bumper retainer LH.

14. REMOVE REAR UPPER BUMPER RETAINER RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

15. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

(a) Disengage the 2 guides and remove the rear bumper energy absorber.





16. REMOVE NO. 1 REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

(a) Remove the 4 nuts and No. 1 rear bumper reinforcement.





17. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ARM LH

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and rear bumper arm LH.





18. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ARM RH
