SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: SRS SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for Hatchback): INSTALLATION

CAUTION:
* Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing Airbag System (for Hatchback with VSC/Built-in Type Yaw Rate Sensor).
* If the cushion airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback spring assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with a new one.
* Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.
NOTICE:
Always use "TORX" socket wrench E10 when removing the front seat.

HINT
The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both the driver and front passenger sides, unless otherwise specified.

1. INSTALL SRS SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
* The nuts must not be reused.
* Make sure that the seat frame assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
(a) Install the SRS seat cushion airbag assembly with new 3 nuts.

Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

(b) Engage the clamps to install the SRS seat cushion airbag wire harness.

2. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD Reassembly (from 07/2011)

3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD LH Reassembly (from 07/2011)

4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH Reassembly (from 07/2011)

5. INSTALL VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster) Reassembly (from 07/2011)

6. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH Reassembly (from 07/2011)

7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side)

8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side)

Installation (from 07/2011)

9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

10. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
