Installation (from 07/2011)

1NZ-FE COOLING: RADIATOR (for Hatchback): INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL RADIATOR DRAIN COCK

(a) Install the radiator drain cock onto the radiator assembly.

2. INSTALL GROMMET

(a) Install the 2 grommets onto the radiator assembly.

3. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION

(a) Install the 2 radiator support cushions onto the radiator assembly.

4. INSTALL FAN SHROUD





(a) Engage the 2 claws and install the fan shroud.

5. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

(a) Install No. 2 radiator hose with the clip.

6. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 2 claws and install the radiator assembly onto the vehicle.





NOTICE:
Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or piping when installing the radiator assembly.

(b) Connect the cooling fan motor connector and wire harness clamp.

7. INSTALL INLET OIL COOLER HOSE (for Automatic Transaxle)

8. INSTALL OUTLET OIL COOLER HOSE (for Automatic Transaxle)

9. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE





(a) Connect No. 2 radiator hose with the clip.

10. INSTALL NO. 3 RADIATOR HOSE





(a) Install No. 3 radiator hose with the 2 clips.

11. CONNECT RADIATOR RESERVOIR TANK HOSE

(a) Connect the radiator reservoir tank hose to the water filler.

12. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

(b) Connect the horn assembly connector.

(c) Connect the hood courtesy switch connector and engage the harness clamps.

13. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the hood lock control cable assembly and engage the 2 clamps.

14. INSTALL COOLING FAN MOTOR CONNECTOR

15. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY Installation (from 07/2011)

16. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY

17. ADD COOLANT Service and Repair

18. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK Testing and Inspection
