Removal (from 07/2011)

BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: FRONT SPEED SENSOR (for Hatchback): REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER





(a) Remove the 7 clips, 2 screws and 4 grommets and remove the front fender liner.

HINT
The grommet needs to be replaced with a new one because it will break when it is removed.

3. REMOVE FRONT SPEED SENSOR





(a) Disengage the clamp from the body.

(b) Disconnect the speed sensor connector.

(c) Remove the No. 3 clamp from the body.

(d) Disengage the 2 clamps from the body.

(e) Remove the bolt and separate the No. 2 clamp from the body.

(f) Remove the bolt and separate the No. 1 clamp from the shock absorber.

(g) Remove the bolt and remove the speed sensor from the steering knuckle.

NOTICE:
* Keep the speed sensor tip and installation portion free of foreign matter.
* Remove the speed sensor without turning it from its original installation angle.
