This DTC is stored when a key with a different vehicle serial number is inserted into the ignition key cylinder.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
* When replacing the key or transponder key ECU assembly, refer to the Registration Engine Immobiliser System (for Hatchback).
* After performing repairs, perform the operation that fulfills the DTC output confirmation operation, and then confirm that no DTCs are output again.

PROCEDURE

1. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Insert and remove each registered key one at a time, and check for DTCs each time Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

HINT
* Before checking for DTCs, perform the "DTC Output Confirmation Operation" procedure.
* If DTC B2795 is stored, check for DTCs with the next key after clearing the DTCs.

OK:

DTC B2795 is not output.

3. CHECK IGNITION SWITCH (OPERATION)

(a) Check that the ignition switch can be turned to ON using the key for which the DTC was stored.

OK:

NG -- REPLACE KEY THAT CANNOT START ENGINE
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. REREGISTER MALFUNCTIONING KEY

(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Reregister the key code with the transponder key ECU assembly Engine Immobiliser System (for Hatchback).

OK:

Registration procedure can be completed.

NG -- REPLACE KEY THAT CANNOT START ENGINE

OK -- END (KEY CODE IS NOT REGISTERED NORMALLY)

5. REPLACE TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the transponder key ECU assembly Removal (from 07/2011).

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

6. REGISTER KEY

(a) Register the key Engine Immobiliser System (for Hatchback).

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

7. REGISTER ECU COMMUNICATION ID

(a) Register the ECU communication ID Engine Immobiliser System (for Hatchback).

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

8. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

9. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

HINT
