B1508 - Short in Turn Signal / Hazard Flasher Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The combination meter assembly receives headlight dimmer switch information signals, and flash the turn signal lights.

1. INSPECT LIGHTS

(a) Inspect each turn signal light illumination.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the D101 combination meter assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the 3B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the A42*1 or A43*2 front turn signal light connector.

*1: for RH

*2: for LH

(b) Disconnect the 3C instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the J65*1 or J64*2 rear turn signal light connector.

*1: for RH

*2: for LH

(b) Disconnect the 3D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- Continue to next step.

5. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly Removal (from 07/2011).

(b) Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) Removal (from 07/2011).

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
