Removal





AUDIO / VIDEO: STEERING PAD SWITCH (except TMC Made): REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

Service Precautions

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

3. REMOVE LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER (w/o Front Spoiler) Removal

4. REMOVE LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER (w/ Front Spoiler) Removal

5. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER (w/o Front Spoiler) Removal

6. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER (w/ Front Spoiler) Removal

7. REMOVE STEERING PAD (w/o Front Spoiler) Removal

8. REMOVE STEERING PAD (w/ Front Spoiler) Removal

9. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH LH (w/ Front Spoiler)

(a) Disconnect the steering pad switch assembly connector from the spiral cable.





(b) Remove the screw.





(c) Disengage the 2 pins and claw, and remove the steering pad switch LH.

10. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/o Front Spoiler)

(a) Disconnect the pad switch connector from the spiral cable and disengage the clamp.





(b) Remove the screw.





(c) Disengage the 2 pins and remove the steering pad switch.

(d) Disengage the clamp.





(e) Remove the screw.





(f) Disengage the 2 pins and remove the steering pad switch assembly.

11. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Spoiler)

(a) Disconnect the steering pad switch connector from the spiral cable.





(b) Remove the screw.





(c) Disengage the 2 pins and claw, and remove the steering pad switch.

(d) Remove the screw.





(e) Disengage the 2 pins and claw, and remove the steering pad switch assembly.
