Window Regulator: Testing and Inspection

WINDSHIELD / WINDOWGLASS: POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH (except TMC Made)

(a) Apply positive (+) battery voltage to connector terminal 2 (B).

NOTICE:
Do not apply positive (+) battery voltage to any terminals other than terminal 2 (B) to avoid damaging the pulse sensor inside the motor.

(b) Connect a ground lead to connector terminals 1 (GND) and 7 (DOWN) or 10 (UP).

(c) Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows:

OK:

* If the result is not as specified, replace the front power window regulator motor assembly LH.

CAUTION:
Reset the power window regulator motor (initialize the pulse sensor) after installing the power window regulator motor and regulator assembly onto the door.

2. INSPECT FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH (except TMC Made)

OK:

* If the result is not as specified, replace the front power window regulator motor assembly RH.

CAUTION:
Reset the power window regulator motor (initialize the pulse sensor) after installing the power window regulator motor and regulator assembly onto the door.

3. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Rear LH Side) (except TMC Made)

OK:

* If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power window regulator motor assembly (for rear LH side).

CAUTION:
Reset the power window regulator motor (initialize the pulse sensor) after installing the power window regulator motor and regulator assembly onto the door.

4. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY (for Rear RH Side) (except TMC Made)

OK:

* If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power window regulator motor assembly (for rear RH side).

CAUTION:
Reset the power window regulator motor (initialize the pulse sensor) after installing the power window regulator motor and regulator assembly onto the door.

5. INSPECT FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH (for TMC Made)

(a) Apply battery voltage to the motor connector according to the table below.

NOTICE:
Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1, 2, 4, 7 and 10.

Standard:

If the result is not as specified, replace the front power window regulator motor assembly LH.

6. INSPECT FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH (for TMC Made)

(a) Apply battery voltage to the motor connector according to the table below.

NOTICE:
Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1, 2, 4, 7 and 10.

Standard:

If the result is not as specified, replace the front power window regulator motor assembly RH.

7. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Rear LH Side) (for TMC Made)

(a) Apply battery voltage to the motor connector according to the table below.

NOTICE:
Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1, 2, 4, 7 and 10.

Standard:

If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power window regulator motor assembly (for rear LH side).

8. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Rear RH Side) (for TMC Made)

(a) Apply battery voltage to the motor connector according to the table below.

NOTICE:
Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1, 2, 4, 7 and 10.
