Installation





DRIVE SHAFT: FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for TMMK Made): INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH Installation

2. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH Installation

3. INSTALL FRONT AXLE ASSEMBLY Installation

4. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER NO. 1 ARM Installation

5. INSTALL TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

6. INSTALL FRONT SPEED SENSOR Installation

7. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the stabilizer link assembly with the nut.





Torque : 74 Nm (755 kgf-cm, 55 ft-lbf)

HINT
If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a hexagon wrench (6 mm) to hold the stud bolt.

8. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB NUT

(a) Clean the threaded parts on the drive shaft and axle hub nut using a non-residue solvent.

NOTICE:
* Be sure to perform this work for a new drive shaft.
* Keep the threaded parts free of oil and foreign matter.

(b) Using a socket wrench (30 mm), install a new axle hub nut.





Torque : 294 Nm (3,000 kgf-cm, 217 ft-lbf)

(c) Using a chisel and hammer, stake the front axle hub nut.

9. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

Torque : 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

10. ADD AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID

(a) for 2GR-FE:

(b) for 2AR-FE: Procedures

11. ADD MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL Service and Repair

12. INSPECT AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID

13. INSPECT MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL Testing and Inspection

14. ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
