Disassembly Avalon


REPAIR PROCEDURE:

Disassembly Avalon

1. Remove LH Front Seat.

Refer to the Repair Manual within E-TAS / TIS library:

2. Disengage the 4 clips and 7 claws and remove the front door scuff plate LH.







3. Remove the clip A and disengage the 2 clips B and remove the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH.







4. Turn the shift lever knob counterclockwise and remove the shift lever knob subassembly.







5. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the position indicator housing assembly.







6. Remove the console box hole cover by disengaging the 4 claws (without seat heater).
7. Remove the seat heater switch (if equipped).







A. Disengage the 4 claws.
B. Disconnect the electrical connector.

8. Remove the console upper panel sub-assembly.







A. Disengage the 6 claws and remove the console upper box (with box).







B. Disengage the 10 clips.
C. Disconnect the connectors and remove the console upper panel sub-assembly.







9. Remove the tape player assembly (if equipped).
A. Remove the 4 screws.
B. Pull the tape player assembly toward you and disengage tape player guide.
C. Disconnect all connectors and remove the tape player assembly.

10. Remove the console box carpet.







11. Remove the console box assembly.
A. Disconnect the connector.
B. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 screws then the console box assembly.







12. Remove the console front box.
A. Remove the 2 nuts and screw.
B. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the console front box.

13. Remove the 3 floor carpet hooks, release the 2 clamps, release the hook and loop fastener and remove the LH front carpet assembly.







14. Remove accelerator pedal.
A. Disconnect the accelerator pedal connector.
B. Remove the 2 bolts and the accelerator pedal assembly.
