Installation

2AR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: ECM: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ECM

(a) Install the bracket to the ECM with the 4 screws.





(b) Install the ECM with the 3 bolts.





Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

2. CONNECT ECM CONNECTOR

(a) Connect the 2 ECM connectors and lower the 2 levers.





NOTICE:
* When connecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water and other foreign matter does not become stuck between the connectors and other parts.
* Make sure that the 2 levers are securely lowered.

(b) Install the 2 wire harness clamps.





3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER BRACKET

(a) Install the air cleaner bracket with the 2 bolts.





Torque : 7.8 Nm (80 kgf-cm, 69 in-lbf)

4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

5. INSTALL AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT

6. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (for PZEV) Installation

7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (except PZEV) Installation

8. INSTALL INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY Installation

9. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

10. PERFORM REGISTRATION

NOTICE:
Perform Registration (VIN registration) when replacing the ECM Programming and Relearning.

HINT
Registration cannot be completed by only disconnecting and reconnecting the cable of the negative (-) battery terminal.

11. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

(a) Perform the initialization Installation.

Initialization cannot be completed by only disconnecting and reconnecting the cable of the negative (-) battery terminal.
