Introduction
Some 2007 - 2011 model year North American Produced (NAP) Camry and Camry HV vehicles may exhibit a rattle noise from the left or right front doors or door panel area. This may be due to a loose plastic cover on the door panel energy absorption pad. Use the following procedure to correct this condition.

Repair Procedure
1. Disengage the 2 clips and remove the front door lower frame bracket garnish.
2. Remove the front door inside handle bezel plug.
Using a plastic pry tool or equivalent, disengage the 3 claws, and remove the front door inside handle bezel plug.
3. Remove the assist grip cover.
Using a plastic pry tool or equivalent, disengage the 6 claws and remove the assist grip cover.
4. Remove the courtesy light assembly.
A. Using a plastic pry tool or equivalent, disengage the claw and remove the courtesy light assembly.
B. Disconnect the connector.
5. Remove the front door trim board sub-assembly.
A. Remove the 3 screws and clip A.
B. Using a plastic pry tool or equivalent, disengage the 9 clips.
C. Pull up the front door trim board in the direction indicated by the arrow.
NOTICE
If door panel is not removed as instructed, damage to door panel may occur.
D. Disengage the reference bosses from the front door panel.
E. Raise the front door trim board to disengage the 4 claws and remove the front door trim board together with the front door inner glass weatherstrip.
F. Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the front door inside handle sub-assembly.
6. Remove the front door inner glass weatherstrip.
Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 clips as shown in the illustration and remove the front door inner glass weatherstrip from the front door trim board.
7. Inspect for loose energy absorption pad cover.
NOTE
If energy absorption pad cover is not loose, STOP. This TSB does NOT apply. Continue with normal diagnostic procedures for unidentified interior noise. Follow steps 12 - 19 to reassemble the vehicle.
8. Remove remaining adhesive from the energy absorption pad and cover.
9. Scuff the energy absorption pad surface.
10. Using a standard hot glue gun, apply hot glue to both the plastic cover and energy absorption pad
NOTE
Allow glue gun to reach maximum temperature before applying glue to maximize adhesion.
11. Press the two pieces together and apply pressure for approximately 2 minutes.
NOTE
Allow part to fully cool before reinstalling into vehicle.
12. Install the front door inner glass weatherstrip by engaging the 4 claws.
13. Reconnect the front door wire assembly (for driver side).
14. Engage the 2 claws and install the front door inside handle sub-assembly.
15. Install the front door trim board sub-assembly.
A. Connect each connector.
B. Align the front door trim board reference boss and engage the 4 clips of the front door inner glass weatherstrip.
C. Engage the 9 clips and install the front door trim board to the front door panel.
NOTICE
Do NOT use excessive force when engaging the clips.
D. Install the 3 screws and clip A.
16. Install the courtesy light assembly.
A. Connect the connector.
B. Engage the claw and install the courtesy light assembly.
17. Install the assist grip cover by engaging the 6 claws.
18. Install the front door inside handle bezel plug by engaging the 3 claws.
19. Install the front door lower frame bracket garnish by engaging the 2 clips.
20. Test drive the vehicle to confirm that no abnormal noise is present.
