1. READ DATA LIST

HINT
Using the Data List displayed on Techstream, the values of the switches, sensors, actuators, etc. can be checked without part removal. Reading the Data List as the first step in troubleshooting is one way to shorten labor time.

(a) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

(c) Turn the tester on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Immobiliser / Data List.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the tester.

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST

HINT
Performing Techstream Active Test allows a relay, VSV, actuator and other items to be operated without removing any parts. Performing the Active Test early in troubleshooting is one way to shorten labor time. The Data List can be displayed during the Active Test.

(a) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

(c) Turn the tester on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Immobiliser / Active Test.

(e) Perform the Active Test according to the display on the tester.
