SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

1. REAR SUNSHADE SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

(a) The rear sunshade is raised or lowered by operating the rear sunshade switch located in the instrument panel finish lower panel LH.

(b) When the shift lever is moved to the R position while the ignition switch is on (IG), the ECM receives a reverse position signal from the park/neutral position switch. After receiving the signal, the ECM sends it to the network gateway ECU via CAN communication. The network gateway ECU sends the signal to the main body ECU via BEAN communication. After receiving the signal, if the rear sunshade is raised, the main body ECU turns on the rear sunshade relay to lower the rear sunshade.

(c) When the shift lever is moved to the D or S position, and when the vehicle speed is 15 km/h (9.3 mph) or more, the rear sunshade is rises again.

(d) Using the Techstream, the reverse-linked sunshade lowering function's response time can be customized to one of the following (seconds): 0, 0.7, 0.9, 1.2.
