Removal (from 12/2010)

U660E AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE: SHIFT LEVER: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

2. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal (from 12/2010)

3. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING ASSEMBLY Removal (from 12/2010)

4. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON COVER

(a) Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, remove the shift lock release button cover from the position indicator housing assembly.





5. REMOVE SEAT HEATER SWITCH (w/ Seat Heater System) Removal (from 12/2010)

6. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal (from 12/2010)

7. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET Removal (from 12/2010)

8. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY Removal (from 12/2010)

9. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE BOX Removal (from 12/2010)

10. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly.





11. REMOVE TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 bolts.





(b) Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the transmission floor shift assembly.
