DESCRIPTION

The body ECU detects the condition of the door courtesy switch assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Select the following menu items: Body Electrical / Body / Data List.

(e) Read the display on the Techstream.

Body (Body ECU)





NG -- INSPECT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (EACH DOOR COURTESY LIGHT CIRCUIT)

(a) Inspect the harness and connectors related to each light, referring to the wiring diagram.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

3. INSPECT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH

(a) Inspect front door courtesy switch Front Door Courtesy Switch.

(b) Inspect rear door courtesy switch Rear Door Courtesy Switch.

OK:

Each door courtesy switch is normal.

NG -- REPLACE DOOR COURTESY SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (EACH COURTESY SWITCH CIRCUIT)

(a) Inspect the harness and connectors related to each courtesy switch, referring to the wiring diagram.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
