INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT
If there is an open in the ground circuit (center airbag sensor assembly), the center airbag sensor assembly outputs DTCs. Perform troubleshooting with the "Supplemental Restraint System" DTC Check / Clear (to 12/2010).
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT
(a) Check for DTCs.
Result:
B -- GO TO MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.
2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT)
(a) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Ignition switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the tester on.
(d) Enter following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
(e) Check the operation by referring to the table below.
Combination Meter:
OK:
Indicator light (ON or OFF) can be switched ACTIVE TEST.
NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (DRIVER SIDE)
(a) Remove the front seat inner belt assembly (Driver Side).
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (DRIVER SIDE)
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (DRIVER SIDE) CIRCUIT)
(a) Disconnect the D8 and K2 connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE BODY ECU
