SEAT: FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM (w/ Memory): HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

3. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (BEAN)

(a) Use Techstream to check for normal function of the multiplex communication system.

(1) (ECU not connected, communication line malfunctioning) If no code is output, proceed to A.

(2) (ECU not connected, communication line malfunctioning) If any code is output, proceed to B.

4. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

(a) If the fault is not listed on the problem symptoms table, proceed to A.

(b) If the fault is listed on the problem symptoms table, proceed to B.

5. OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING

(a) DATA LIST/ACTIVE TEST Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

(1) Inspection with Techstream (DATA LIST).

(b) Terminals of ECU Pinout Values and Diagnostic Parameters.

(c) On vehicle inspection On-Vehicle Inspection.
