DESCRIPTION

When a malfunction is detected in these switches, inspect each switch. Then, replace the malfunctioning switch. If no malfunction is detected in switches, check the wire harness.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR LOCK SWITCH)

(a) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

On the Techstream screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to the chart above.

NG -- INSPECT DOOR CONTROL SWITCH

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

2. INSPECT DOOR CONTROL SWITCH

(a) for Driver Side:

(1) Remove the multiplex network master switch assembly.





(2) Measure the resistance of the multiplex network master switch.

Resistance:





(b) for Front Passenger Side:

(1) Remove the door control switch assembly.





(2) Measure the resistance of the door control switch.

Resistance:





Result:





C -- REPLACE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH

B -- REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
A -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DOOR CONTROL SWITCH - INSTRUMENT PANEL J/B)

(a) for Driver Side:

(1) Disconnect the IK connector.

(2) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Resistance:





(b) for Front Passenger Side:

(1) Disconnect the IJ connector.

(2) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
