Front Door Lock

DOOR LOCK: FRONT DOOR LOCK: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the front door lock assembly LH.





(b) Apply battery voltage to the door lock and check operation of the door lock motor.

OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

(c) Measure the resistance of the door key lock and unlock switch.





Resistance:





If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

(d) Measure the resistance of the door unlock detection switch.





Resistance:





If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Remove the front door lock assembly RH.





(b) Apply battery voltage to the door lock and check operation of the door lock motor.

OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

(c) Measure the resistance of the door unlock detection switch.





Resistance:





If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
