DESCRIPTION

This circuit sends the voice signal from the inner rear view mirror assembly (amplifier microphone assembly) to the radio receiver assembly.

It also supplies power source from the radio receiver assembly to the inner rear view mirror assembly (amplifier microphone assembly).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the radio receiver assembly connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY Removal (from 12/2010)
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY - RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the inner rear view mirror assembly and radio receiver assembly connectors.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

4. REPLACE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY

(a) Check that the malfunction disappears when a known good inner rear view mirror assembly is installed Removal.

OK:

Malfunction disappears.
