DESCRIPTION

The navigation receiver assembly receives the reverse signal from the park/neutral position switch assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (REVERSE SIGNAL INPUT)

(a) Disconnect the E39 connector from the navigation receiver assembly.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH)

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Problem Symptoms Table (to 12/2010)

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH)

(a) Disconnect the E39 connector from the navigation receiver assembly.

(b) Disconnect the B13 connector from the park/neutral position switch assembly.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the B13 connector from the park/neutral position switch assembly.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
