DESCRIPTION

When the transponder key is registered, the transponder key ECU assembly outputs the key registration condition by lighting up, blinking or turning off the security indicator.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body / Immobiliser or Main Body / Active Test.

(e) Perform the Active Test according to the display on the tester.

2. INSPECT TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY (SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT SIGNAL)

(a) Disconnect the D59 air conditioning control assembly connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSPONDER KEY ECU - AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY)
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY Removal (to 12/2010)

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSPONDER KEY ECU - AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the D33 transponder key ECU assembly connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY
