DESCRIPTION
The multiplex network body ECU determines whether the key is inserted into the ignition key cylinder based on signals from the unlock warning switch.
Signals from the unlock warning switch are used to operate wireless door lock control system functions such as automatic lock and door ajar warning.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Start the inspection from step 1 when using the Techstream and start from step 2 when not using the Techstream.
PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE ON TECHSTREAM (UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream main switch on.
(c) Select the items below in the "DATA LIST" and read the display on the Techstream.

When the ignition switch is operated, the display changes as shown above.
NG -- INSPECT MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU (KSW TERMINAL)
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
2. INSPECT MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU (KSW TERMINAL)
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Disconnect the multiplex network body ECU (D7) connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Resistance:
NG -- INSPECT UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
3. INSPECT UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH
(a) Disconnect the unlock warning switch connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Resistance:
NG -- REPLACE UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH
OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (BETWEEN BODY ECU, BODY GROUND - UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH)
