Disassembly

INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL: DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 3 screws and the defroster nozzle assembly.

2. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

(a) Remove the 4 screws and the No. 2 heater to register duct.

3. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

(a) Remove the 3 screws and the No. 1 heater to register duct.

4. REMOVE NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

(a) Remove the 3 screws and the No. 3 heater to register duct.

5. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the No. 1 instrument panel register assembly.

6. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the No. 2 instrument panel register assembly.

7. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION (for TMC Made)

(a) Factory-installed components:

(1) Remove the No. 2 instrument panel cushion.

NOTICE:
Always replace the No. 2 instrument panel cushion with a new one.

(b) Except factory-installed components:

(1) Remove the No. 2 instrument panel cushion.

NOTICE:
Always replace the No. 2 instrument panel cushion with a new one.

8. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION (for TMMC, NUMMI Made)

(a) Remove the No. 2 instrument panel cushion.

NOTICE:
Always replace the No. 2 instrument panel cushion with a new one.

9. REMOVE NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION (for TMC Made)

(a) Except factory-installed components:

(1) Remove the No. 3 instrument panel cushion.

NOTICE:
Always replace the No. 3 instrument panel cushion with a new one.

10. REMOVE NO. 4 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION (for TMC Made)

(a) Remove the No. 4 instrument panel cushion.

NOTICE:
Always replace the No. 4 instrument panel cushion with a new one.

11. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System) Removal

12. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal

13. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE (w/ Automatic Light Control System)

(a) Disconnect each connector.

(b) Disengage the 6 clamps and remove the No. 2 instrument panel wire.

14. REMOVE AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR (w/ Automatic Light Control System)

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the automatic light control sensor.

15. REMOVE SOLAR SENSOR (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the solar sensor.

16. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION

(a) Remove the No. 1 instrument panel cushion.

NOTICE:
Always replace the No. 1 instrument panel cushion with a new one.
