INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB LH BEARING





(a) Using SST and a press, install a new hub LH bearing to the steering knuckle.
SST: 09950-60020

2. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE DUST COVER LH
(a) Install the dust cover front LH with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 8.3 Nm (85 kgf-cm, 73 in-lbf)
3. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY LH





(a) Using SST and a press, install the hub sub-assembly LH.

4. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB LH HOLE SNAP RING





(a) Using snap ring pliers, install a new LH hole snap ring.
5. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Install the lower ball joint assembly front LH, torque the nut.
Torque: 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)
(b) Install a new cotter pin.

NOTE: If the holes for the cotter pin are not aligned, tighten the nut further up to 60°.

6. INSTALL FRONT AXLE ASSEMBLY LH





(a) Install the 2 bolts, nuts and front axle assembly LH to the shock absorber.
Torque: 220 Nm (2243 kgf-cm, 162 ft-lbf)

NOTE: Only when reusing the bolts and nuts, apply engine oil to the screw part of the nuts.

(b) Push the front axle assembly toward the outside of the vehicle, fit the splined part of the drive shaft assembly to that of the front axle assembly and insert the drive shaft assembly into the front axle assembly.

NOTICE:
- Do not push out the front axle assembly excessively.
- Be careful not to damage the drive shaft outboard joint boot.
- With ABS:
Be careful not to damage the speed sensor rotor.

7. INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER LH (Installation)

8. INSTALL TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (Installation)

9. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH (Installation)

10. INSTALL FRONT DISC
11. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH





(a) Install the brake caliper assembly with the 2 bolts to the steering knuckle.
Torque: 107 Nm (1089 kgf-cm, 79 ft-lbf)
12. INSTALL FRONT AXLE SHAFT LH NUT
(a) Clean the threaded parts on the drive shaft and axle hub nut using a non-residue solvent.

NOTICE:
- Be sure to perform this work for a new drive shaft.
- Keep the threaded parts free of oil and foreign objects.

(b) Using a socket wrench (30 mm), install a new hub LH nut.
Torque: 216 Nm (2200 kgf-cm, 159 ft-lbf)
13. SEPARATE FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH
14. REMOVE FRONT DISC
15. INSPECT FRONT AXLE HUB BEARING LOOSENESS (Front Axle Hub)

16. INSTALL FRONT DISC
17. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH
18. INSTALL FRONT SPEED SENSOR LH (WITH ABS) (Installation)

19. INSTALL FRONT AXLE SHAFT LH NUT





(a) Using a chisel and a hammer, stake the hub LH nut.
20. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
Torque: 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)
21. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT (Service and Repair)

22. INSPECT ABS SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL (WITH ABS)
(a) Vehicle Stability Control System (Test Mode Procedure)

(b) Anti-lock Brake System (Test Mode Procedure)
