PARKING BRAKE LEVER

REMOVAL
1. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY REAR
(a) Remove the console box insert and console box damper RR.





(b) Remove the 4 bolts.
(c) Disconnect the connector, and remove the console box assembly rear.





2. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the parking brake switch connector from the parking brake switch.
(b) Remove the lock nut and adjusting nut from the parking brake cable assembly No. 1.





(c) Remove the 2 bolts.





(d) Using a screwdriver, raise the pick on the parking brake lever, and remove the parking brake cable assembly No. 1 from the parking brake lever.
(e) Remove the parking brake lever from the body.





3. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the screw and parking brake switch assembly.
4. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY FRONT





5. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR NO. 1
(a) Remove the 3 nuts and front floor heat insulator No. 1.





6. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR NO. 2
(a) Remove the 2 nuts and front floor heat insulator No. 2.
7. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY NO. 1
(a) Disconnect the parking brake cable assembly No. 1 from the equalizer and remove the parking brake cable assembly No. 1.

INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY NO. 1
(a) Connect the parking brake cable assembly No. 1 to the equalizer and install the parking brake cable assembly No. 1.





2. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR NO. 2
(a) Install the front floor heat insulator No. 2 with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 5.5 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf)





3. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR NO. 1
(a) Install the front floor heat insulator No. 1 with the 3 nuts.
Torque: 5.5 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf)
4. INSTALL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY FRONT





5. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the parking brake switch to the parking brake lever sub-assembly with the screw.





6. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the parking brake cable assembly No. 1 to the parking brake lever, temporarily tighten the adjusting nut and lock nut.
(b) Using a screwdriver, fix the parking brake cable No. 1 to the pick.





(c) Install the parking brake lever with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 12.5 N*m (130 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)





(d) Connect the parking brake switch connector to the parking brake switch.
7. INSPECT PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL
8. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL
9. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY REAR
(a) Connect the connector to the console box assembly rear.





(b) Install the console box assembly with the 4 bolts.
(c) Install the console box insert and console box damper RR.
