ABS and Traction Actuator

REMOVAL

1. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

NOTE: Wash brake fluid off immediately if it adheres to any painted surface.

2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH
3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH
4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER
a. Remove the front bumper cover

5. REMOVE LH HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the LH headlight assembly

6. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY
7. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET




a. Disconnect the actuator connector
b. Using SST, disconnect the 6 brake tubes from the actuator with bracket.

c. Use tags or make a memo to identify the places to reconnect.




d. Remove the 2 bolts, nut and the actuator with bracket.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the brake tubes and wire harness.

8. REMOVE ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 2 nuts and ABS and traction actuator assembly from the bracket.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
a. Install the ABS and traction actuator assembly with the 2 nuts to the bracket.

Torque: 6.0 N.m (61 kgf.cm, 53 in.lbf)

2. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET




a. Install the actuator with bracket with the 2 bolts and nut.

Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)

NOTE:
- Be careful not to damage the brake tubes and wire harness.
- Tighten the bolts in order from 1 to 3.

b. Connect the actuator connector.

NOTE: Make sure that the lever is locked securely.




c. Using SST, connect each brake tube to correct positions of the actuator with bracket, as shown in the illustration.

Torque: 15 N.m (155 kgf.cm, 11 ft.lbf)

3. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY
4. INSTALL LH HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY
5. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER
6. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH
7. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL RH

Torque: 103 N.m (1,050 kgf.cm, 76 ft.lbf)

8. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID
9. BLEED MASTER CYLINDER

10. BLEED BRAKE LINE
11. BLEED ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
12. CHECK FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR
13. CHECK FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE
14. CHECK ACTUATOR WITH INTELLIGENT TESTER
15. PERFORM YAW RATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION Calibration
16. PREPARE VEHICLE FOR FOG LIGHT AIMING ADJUSTMENT
17. PREPARE FOR FOG LIGHT AIMING
18. INSPECT FOG LIGHT AIMING
19. ADJUST FOG LIGHT AIMING 20
20. PREPARE VEHICLE FOR HEADLIGHT AIMING ADJUSTMENT
21. PREPARE FOR HEADLIGHT AIMING (for Using a Tester)
22. PREPARE FOR HEADLIGHT AIMING (for Using a Screen)
23. INSPECT HEADLIGHT AIMING
24. ADJUST HEADLIGHT AIMING
