Parking Brake Lever: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. SEPARATE SEAT:
REMOVE CONSOLE BOX
2. BENCH SEAT:
REMOVE PROTECTOR
a. Turn over the floor mat.
b. Remove the 3 bolts and protector.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 inch lbs.)
3. REMOVE INTERMEDIATE LEVER ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the lock nut, adjusting nut and sleeve from parking brake cable No. 4.
b. Remove the 2 bolts, and disconnect parking brake cable No. 4.
Torque: 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.)
c. Remove the 2 bolts, and disconnect parking brake cable No. 1.
Torque: 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.)
d. Separate seat:
Remove the 2 bolts and console box mounting bracket.
Torque: 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.)
e. Remove the 3 bolts and intermediate lever assembly.
Torque: 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.)

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
AFTER INSTALLATION, ADJUST PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL.
