Parking Brake Lever: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Separate seat: Remove console box
2. Bench seat: Remove protector
a. Turn over the floor mat.
b. Remove the 3 bolts and protector.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (48 inch lbs.)
3. Remove intermediate lever assembly
a. Remove the lock nut, adjusting nut and sleeve from parking brake cable No.4.
b. Remove the 2 bolts, and disconnect parking brake cable No.4.
Torque: 13 Nm (9 ft. lbs.)
c. Remove the 2 bolts, and disconnect parking brake cable No.1.
Torque: 13 Nm (9 ft. lbs.)
d. Separate seat: Remove the 2 bolts and console box mounting bracket.
Torque: 13 Nm (9 ft. lbs.)
e. Remove the 3 bolts and intermediate lever assembly.
Torque: 13 Nm (9 ft. lbs.)

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal. After installation, adjust parking brake pedal travel.
