Parking Brake Lever: Service and Repair

Parking Brake Intermediate Lever Assembly:

ASSEMBLY REMOVAL
1. Separate seat: remove console box.
2. Bench seat: remove protector.
(a) Turn over the floor mat.
(b) Remove the 3 bolts and protector.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (48 inch lbs.)
3. Remove Intermediate Lever assembly.
(a) Remove the lock nut and adjusting nut from Parking Brake Cable No.4.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts. and disconnect Parking Brake Cable No.4.
Torque: 13 Nm (9 ft. lbs.)
(c) Remove the 2 bolts, and disconnect Parking Brake Cable No.1.
Torque: 13 Nm (9 ft. lbs.)
(d) Separate Seat:
Remove the 2 bolts and console box mounting bracket.
Torque: 13 Nm (9 ft. lbs.)
(e) Remove the 3 bolts and Intermediate Lever assembly.
Torque: 13 Nm (9 ft. lbs.)

ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
After installation, adjust Parking Brake Pedal travel.
