Shift Interlock Solenoid: Testing and Inspection
1. Disconnect solenoid connector.2. Using suitable ohmmeter, measure resistance between terminals, Figs. 24 through 28.

3. Resistance should be as follows:
a. Supra and Tacoma: 20-28 ohms.
b. 4Runner: 21-27 ohms.
c. Pickup: 29-36 ohms.
4. Apply battery positive voltage to shift lock solenoid terminals and ensure operating noise can be heard.
