Oxygen Sensor: Testing and Inspection
INSPECT HEATER RESISTANCE OF HEATED OXYGEN SENSORS1. INSPECT BANK 1 SENSOR 1, BANK 2 SENSOR 1.
- Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals +B and HT.
Resistance: At 2O°C (68°F): 11 - 16 Ohms
- If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.
Torque: 44 Nm (440 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lb)
- Reconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
2. INSPECT BANK 1, SENSOR 2.
- Column shift: Remove the passenger's seat.
- Floor shift: Take out the console box side of the floor carpet.
- Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals +B and HT.
Resistance: At 2O°C (68°F): 11 - 16 ohms
- If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.
Torque: 44 Nm (440 kgf.cm. 31 ft.lb)
- Reconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
- Floor shift: Reinstall the floor carpet.
- Column shift: Reinstall the passenger's seat.
