Disassembly and Reassembly

DISASSEMBLY
1. REMOVE EVAPORATOR

a. Remove the screw and pull out the thermistor.
b. Remove the 6 screws and evaporator cover.
c. Pull out the evaporator.

HINT: At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following item.

If evaporator is replaced, add compressor oil to evaporator.
Add 40 cc (1.4 fl.oz.)
Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

2. REMOVE EXPANSION VALVE
Using a hexagon wrench, remove the 2 bolts and separate the evaporator, expansion valve, liquid and suction tube.
Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)

HINT: At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following item.

Lubricate 4 new O-rings with compressor oil and install them to the valve.

3. Auto A/C Only:
REMOVE BLOWER MOTOR LINEAR CONTROLLER

Remove the 2 screws and controller.

4. REMOVE BLOWER RESISTOR
Remove the 2 screws and blower resistor

5. Auto A/C Only:
REMOVE AIR MIX SERVOMOTOR

a. Remove the 2 screws and servomotor.
b. Remove the water valve control cable from servomotor.

6. REMOVE AIR OUTLET SERVOMOTOR
Remove the 2 screws and servomotor.

7. REMOVE ASPIRATOR
Remove the screw and aspirator.

8. Auto A/C Only:
REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

After taking off the clamp, take out the sensor.

9. REMOVE HEATER RADIATOR
a. Remove the 2 screws and water valve valve control cable guide.
b. Remove the 3 screws and 3 clamp.
c. Pull out the heater radiator.
d. Remove the 2 clamps and heater radiator pipes.

HINT: At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following item.
Do not reuse the 2 0-rings.

REASSEMBLY
Reassembly is in the reverse order of disassembly.
