Dashboard / Instrument Panel: Service and Repair
1. Remove front pillar garnish and door inside scuff plate, Fig.1.Fig. 1 Exploded View Of Instrument Panel & Components (Part 1 Of 2).:

2. Remove hood lock release lever and cowl side trim.
3. Remove steering wheel, steering column cover and combination switch.
4. Remove lower finish panel assembly and instrument panel finish lower lefthand panel.
5. Remove fuse box bolt and parking brake release lever.
6. Remove No. 2 duct heater to register and No. 2 under cover and lower finish panel.
7. Remove glove compartment door and glove compartment.
8. Remove glove compartment door finish plate inside instrument panel box.
9. Pull up and disconnect air bag connector.
10. Remove four screws and compartment by pulling and disconnect the connectors.
11. Remove center cluster finish panel, radio and heater control assembly.
12. On models with floor shift, remove the following parts:
a. Upper console panel.
b. Rear console box.
c. Front console box.
13. On models with column shift, remove finish panel.
14. Remove steering column.
15. Remove cluster finish panel, assembly and combination meter.
16. Remove and disconnect attaching bolts and connectors, then remove instrument panel from vehicle.
17. Remove instrument panel reinforcement.
18. Reverse procedure to install.
