Rear Door: Service and Repair

DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL
2. REMOVE ASH TRAY
3. REMOVE POWER WINDOW SWITCH




4. REMOVE DOOR TRIM
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 caps.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Remove the 4 screws and 2 clips.
c. Insert a screwdriver between the door and door trim to pry the trim out.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the door and door trim.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

d. Pull the trim upward to remove it.




e. Remove the 7 screws and armrest from the door trim.
f. Remove the 5 screws and speaker cover from the door trim.




5. REMOVE DOOR INSIDE HANDLE
a. Remove the 2 bolts.
b. Disconnect the 2 control links from the door inside handle as shown in the illustration.




6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER

HINT: At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following item.
Bring out the links through the service hole cover.




7. REMOVE DOOR MOULDINGS
a. Pry out the clips from the rear door belt moulding edge and remove the moulding.
b. Remove the 3 screws and rear door front frame moulding.
c. Remove the 3 screws and rear door rear frame moulding.
d. Remove the 4 screws and rear door upper moulding.

8. REMOVE DOOR SPEAKER BOARD
9. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN

HINT: Pull the glass run upward.

10. REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP N0.2
11. REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
12. REMOVE OUTSIDE LOWER MOULDING




13. REMOVE DOOR GLASS
Remove the 2 bolts and glass.

HINT: At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following items.
- Adjust the glass and tighten the bolt when dimensions A and B, as shown, are equal.
- Substitute the bolt with washer for the centering bolt.




14. REMOVE WINDOW REGULATOR
Disconnect the connector, then remove the 6 nuts and window regulator.

Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)

HINT: Remove the regulator through the service hole.






HINT: At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following item.
Apply MP grease to the glass guide and rollers of window regulator.

15. REMOVE LOWER FRAME




16. REMOVE DOOR LOCK
a. Using a clip remover, remove the bellcrank and clamp.
b. Disconnect the 2 control links from the door lock, then remove the links.
c. Disconnect the 2 links from the outside handle.
d. Disconnect the connector.
e. Remove the 3 torx screws and door lock.

Torque: 4.9 N.m (50 kgf.cm, 43 in.lbf)

HINT: At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following items.
- Apply adhesive to 3 screws.
Part No. 08833-00070, THREE BOND 1324 or equivalent.

- Apply MP grease to the sliding and rotating parts of the door lock.

17. REMOVE OUTSIDE HANDLE
Remove the 2 bolts and outside handle.

Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)

REASSEMBLY
Reassembly is in the reverse order of disassembly.
