3. INSPECT VSV for EVAP.

INSPECT VSV for EVAP FOR OPEN CIRCUIT.

- Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between the terminals.

Resistance: At 20°C (68°F): 27 - 33 0hms

- If there is no continuity, replace the VSV for EVAP.

INSPECT VSV for EVAP FOR GROUND.

- Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between each terminal and the body.
- If there is continuity, replace the VSV for EVAP.

INSPECT VSV for EVAP OPERATION.

- Check that air flows with difficulty from port E to port F.

editor's note The test procedure for DTC P0441 indicates that air should NOT flow from port E to port F with no power applied to the VSV. This is a conflict with the OE source material.

- Apply battery positive voltage across the terminals.
- Check that air flows from port E to port F.
- If operation is not as specified, replace the VSV for EVAP.

4. REINSTALL VSV for EVAP.
- Install the VSV for EVAP with the screw.
- Connect the 2 EVAP hoses to the VSV for EVAP.

5. REINSTALL EMISSION CONTROL VALVE SET.
6. REINSTALL V-BANK COVER.
