Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Testing and Inspection

NOTE: The intake air temperature sensor is a part of the mass air flow (MAF) meter and cannot be serviced separately.

INSPECT MAF METER (THA TERMINAL) RESISTANCE



Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals THA and E2.

VAF Meter Terminal Values:

^ If the resistance is not as specified, replace the MAF meter.

NOTE:
Failure of the intake air temperature sensor or it's circuit should cause diagnostic trouble code "24" to be output from the ECM. For testing procedures refer to the Trouble Code Chart for DTC 24.
