Radio/Stereo: Service and Repair

1. Obtain audio anti-theft code, if equipped, as outlined under Technician Safety Information.
2. On models equipped with air bag, pull wheel pad out from steering wheel and disconnect air bag connector. When removing wheel pad, take care not to pull air bag wire harness. When storing wheel pad, keep upper surface of the pad facing upward. Never disassemble wheel pad.
3. On all models, remove steering wheel, then upper and lower steering column covers.
4. Remove ashtray and ashtray retainer.
5. On models equipped with manual transmission, remove shift lever knob.
6. On all models, remove three instrument center cluster finish panel attaching screws, then disconnect the panel electrical connectors and remove the panel.
7. Remove four radio attaching screws, then disconnect electrical connectors and antenna lead and remove radio.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Reset audio coded anti-theft, if equipped, as outlined under Technician Safety Information.
