DTC 43 Starter Signal Circuit

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

NOTE: This diagnostic chart is based on the premise that the engine is cranked normally. If the engine is not cranked, proceed to Diagnosis By Symptom.





1. CHECK FOR CODE 43 OUTPUT IN TEST MODE.
- If OK proceed to next circuit inspection shown in DIAGNOSIS BY SYMPTOM.
- If not OK proceed to step 2.

2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN HARNESS AND CONNECTOR BETWEEN ECM AND RELAY.
- If OK check and replace ECM.
- If not OK repair or replace harness or connector.
