CIRCUIT WIRING DIAGRAM

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1. CHECK OPERATION OF ACTUATOR.
(a) Check actuator hose connection.
(b) Disconnect actuator hose.

(c) Using special service tool (SST# 09992-00241) apply pressure to the actuator.
(d) Check that the actuator works smoothly.

Operation pressure: 119 kPa (1.2 kgf/cm2, 17.3 psi) or less

- If OK proceed to step 2.
- If not OK replace actuator.

2. CHECK OPERATION OF VSV FOR WASTE GATE VALVE.
(a) Remove VSV.
(b) Disconnect VSV connector.

(c) Check operation of VSV for waste gate valve when battery positive voltage is applied and released to the VSV terminals.

OK if:
- With battery voltage APPLIED: Air will flow from port E out through port F.
- With battery voltage NOT APPLIED: Closed air passage from port E to port F.

^. If OK proceed to step 3.
- If not OK replace VSV for waste gate valve.

3. CHECK FOR VOLTAGE FROM ECM TERMINAL PMC TO BODY GROUND.
(a) Connect the Check Harness A.
(b) Turn ignition switch on.

(c) Measure voltage between terminal PMC of the ECM and ground.

Voltage: 9.0 - 14.0 volts

^. If OK check and replace ECM.
- If not OK repair or replace harness or connector between VSV for waste gate valve and ECM.
