INSPECTION PROCEDURE FOR DTC 13
HINT: Perform troubleshooting of diagnostic trouble code 12 first. If no trouble is found, troubleshoot the following mechanical systems.

1. Inspect sensor installation. Check if any teeth of NE signal plate are broken.
- If OK proceed to Step 2.
- If not OK tighten the sensor. Replace timing rotor.

2. Check valve timing (Check for loose and jumping teeth of timing belt.
- If OK check for possible momentary interruption.
- If not OK adjust valve timing or repair or replace timing belt.
