Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Description and Operation

Intake Air Temperature Sensor (THA):

PURPOSE
The Intake Air Temperature Sensor (THA) is mounted in the air cleaner housing. It measures the temperature of incoming intake (ambient) air, so the ECU can adjust injection duration. This aids with improvement in fuel atomization and decreases carbonizing within the engine.


OPERATION
The THA inputs the ECU through terminal THA.
