Fuel Pressure Regulator: Description and Operation
Fuel Pressure Regulator:
PURPOSE
The fuel pressure regulator maintains fuel rail pressure at 31 - 37 psi (206 - 255 kPa) above manifold pressure.
LOCATION
Mounted on the fuel rail.
OPERATION
Manifold pressure to the regulator through a vacuum line. As the vacuum drops under load, fuel pressure is increased to compensate for the additional fuel demands.
