EGR Vacuum Switching Valve (VSV) CA Only

VSV Inspection - Checking Continuity:

- Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between the terminals.

Resistance (Cold): 33-39 ohms

- If there is no continuity, replace the VSV.

VSV Inspection - Checking For Short:

- Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between each terminal and the body.
- If there is continuity, replace the VSV.

VSV Inspection - Checking Operation:

- Check that the air flows from port E to port G.

VSV Inspection - Checking Operation:

- Apply battery voltage across the terminals.
- Check that the air flows from port E to the filter.
- f operation is not as specified, replace the VSV.
