Power Transistor HVAC: Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION OF POWER TRANSISTOR

1. Connect the positive (+) leads from the battery to terminal 1 through a 3.4 W test bulb and terminal 3 of a 120 ohm resistor.
2. Connect the negative (-) lead from the battery to terminal 2, then check that the test bulb lights up.

If operation is not as specified, replace the power transistor.
