Vacuum Switch

Fig. 73 Testing Vacuum Switch:

1. Unplug the electrical connector and the vacuum hose from the vacuum switch.
2. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is NO continuity across the switch terminals. Fig. 73
3. Apply at least 5 in.Hg of vacuum to the vacuum switch with a handheld vacuum pump.
4. Check that there is continuity across the terminals.
5. If a problem is found, replace the vacuum switch.
6. Reconnect the electrical connector and the vacuum hose.
