No. 1 Cold Enrichment Breaker System

Fig. 100 Testing Vacuum Control Valve:

1. Disconnect the vacuum hoses and remove the vacuum control valve (VCV) from the engine.
2. Using a handheld vacuum pump, apply at least 12 in.Hg of vacuum to pipe S. Fig. 100
3. Blow air into pipe Y and check that the VCV opens.
4. Release the vacuum and blow air into pipe Y.
5. Check that the VCV is closed.
6. If a problem is found, replace the VCV.
7. Reinstall the VCV on the engine.
