Windshield Wiper Switch

1. On models equipped with airbags, disarm airbag system as outlined under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
2. On models less airbag, disconnect battery ground cable.
3. On all models, remove steering wheel as outlined under STEERING SUSPENSION CHASSIS AND BODY COMPONENTS/STEERING/STEERING WHEEL.
4. Remove steering column upper and lower covers.
5. Remove combination switch.
6. Remove steering wheel, then upper and lower steering column covers.
7. Remove steering wheel and upper and lower steering column covers.
8. Disconnect wire terminal from horn contact (if equipped).
9. Disconnect windshield wiper/washer switch connector, then using a small screwdriver, disengage windshield wiper/washer switch wiring from combination switch connector. Note position of wires.
10. Remove screw, clamp and windshield wiper/washer switch assembly.
11. Reverse procedure to install.
