EFI System Check Procedure

EFI SYSTEM CHECK PROCEDURE

Preparation

^ Remove the ECU cover under the center console.
^ Remove the ECU with wire harness.
^ Turn the ignition switch ON.
^ Measure the voltage at each terminal.

NOTE:
1. The EFI circuit can be checked by measuring the voltage at the wiring connectors of the ECU.
2. Perform all voltage measurements with the connectors connected.
3. Verify that the battery voltage is 11 V or above when the ignition switch is ON.

VOLTAGE MEASUREMENT

Using a voltmeter with high-impedance (10 kohm/V minimum), measure the voltage at each terminal of the wiring connector.

NOTE: If there is any problem refer to test numbers on left hand side of image.

Standard Values

RESISTANCE MEASUREMENT

Check the resistance between each terminal of the wiring connector.

CAUTION:
1. Do not touch the ECU terminals.

2. The tester probe should be inserted into the wiring connector from the wiring side.
